Your Parenting Horoscope For January 30-February 5

It's true: Your zodiac sign plays a part in how you can live your best life, from which sex position you should try to identifying your dream career goals. Romper partnered with astrologer Maressa Brown to share how every sign can put the current astrological aspects to work and enjoy even more happiness, wellness, and love every week. Here's your weekly parenting horoscope for January 30-February 5.

This week may be a little bit bumpy, thanks to a few less-than-harmonious shifts in the sky. The two major ones involve the planet of love Venus and expansive Jupiter. On Friday, Venus moves from dreamy Pisces into action-oriented, competitive Aries, where it'll remain until it goes retrograde on March 4. And on Sunday, Jupiter, which rules long-distance travel and higher-education, as well as ethical and religious matters, goes retrograde in Libra until June 9. In turn, we may be required to rethink and review big picture goals and major morality-related questions in our lives. Yep, like I said, heavy stuff.

A couple more minor, but still noticeable aspects to look out for: On Tuesday, communicator Mercury in Capricorn squares off with change-agent Uranus in Aries, so you could be caught off-guard when a war of words erupts with a partner, friend, or coworker. And on Thursday, when Mercury forms a negative angle to Jupiter, watch out for skewed or exaggerated facts, which could end up leading to miscommunication or a verbal conflict.

Read more below to find out what this week's forecast means for your sign.

Aries (March 21–April 19)

Carline Wurtzel/Romper

You'll get a burst of creative energy that you'll want to apply to a work or home project while artistic Venus is in your sign from Friday until March 4. Problem is, you're even more inclined to be competitive and maybe a bit unnecessarily overbearing with loved ones in order to reach your goal. Sure your partner, BFF, or even baby may need a bit of prodding to assist you. But if they're clearly not feeling it, you're better off doing your own thing than pushing more.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Carline Wurtzel/Romper

You may feel frustrated if a loved one doesn't get just how overwhelmed you're feeling on Tuesday when the communication planet Mercury in your ninth house of adventure forms a negative angle to radical Uranus in your twelfth house of spirituality. Really, all you may need is a quick timeout from the hustle and bustle and some help with the baby. Do your best to express your needs — patience and mindfulness gets you through the rough patch.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Carline Wurtzel/Romper

Whether you just started seeing someone or you're with a long-term partner, a conflict related to date night or prioritizing your sex life while juggling parenting duties could reach a fever pitch on Thursday when communicator Mercury in your eighth house of sexual intimacy forms a negative angle to Jupiter in your fifth house of romance. One of you may be thoroughly unwilling to compromise, which can only lead to a stalemate. Taking a breather, and later revisiting the issue makes for the best upshot.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Carline Wurtzel/Romper

Big-picture plans related to long-distance travel and education (think planning an overseas trip or narrowing down preschools for your littlest one) may be stalled while philosophical Jupiter is retrograde in your fourth house of family and home life from Sunday until June 9. Try to see this as an opportunity to research alternatives and make sure you have the best information at hand before making a decision. You'll do just fine.

Leo (July 23-August 22)

Carline Wurtzel/Romper

You may find yourself fired up about a professional project that will require you to hone your skills while artistic Venus is in your ninth house of higher education from Friday to March 4. The problem is that you'll also be inclined to stretch yourself beyond your limits to reach your goal. Lean on loved ones, asking them to pitch in with childcare when they can. A well-laid (vs. impulsively thrown-together) plan allows you to succeed.

Virgo (August 23-September 22)

Carline Wurtzel/Romper

You may want to be a bit more assertive with your partner (or a potential one!) while romantic Venus is in your eighth house of sexual intimacy from Friday to March 4. But this could go hand-in-hand with a wave of perfectionism and guilt related to putting time into your love life that you think you should be spending with your toddler. Self-compassion comes in handy now. You're always doing your best, and that's all anyone expects of you.

Libra (September 23-October 22)

Carline Wurtzel/Romper

You may want to go back to the drawing board to tweak details related to a big-picture goal (like that family reunion you've been planning or that ambitious professional pitch you've been developing) while lucky Jupiter is retrograde in your sign from Sunday to June 9. Factoring in how you'll fit all the moving parts of this plan into your already complicated, harried life is intimidating, sure, but now's the time to get all those ducks in a row. You've got this.

Scorpio (October 23-November 21)

Carline Wurtzel/Romper

While social Venus is in your sixth house of wellness from Friday until March 4, you'll want to up your fitness game by taking that kickboxing class with your friend or trying that juice cleanse challenge with your sister-in-law. You may even surprise yourself with how competitive you're getting with it. This newfound intensity is awesome, but doing your best to find balance (for instance, if you'd rather just do some hiking while babywearing instead of hitting up the gym, it's OK!) makes for an even more rewarding experience.

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)

Carline Wurtzel/Romper

You may clash with colleagues or friends over a moneymaking project around Thursday when communicator Mercury in your second house of income forms a negative angle to Jupiter in your eleventh house of networking. Your tendency is to spout off at whoever is standing in your way, especially since you're already at your stress limit (understandably, given all your to-dos at home and work), but a verbal showdown is anything but a solution. Stick to the facts when you speak your piece, and you'll figure out how to get on the same page.

Capricorn (December 22-January 19)

Carline Wurtzel/Romper

You may want to dive head first into an ambitious home improvement project (like hand-painting baby number two's nursery or even renovating the kitchen) while artistic Venus is in your fourth house of family life from Friday until March 4. If you're fired up to go full steam ahead without getting the details sorted out first, you may catch your loved ones off-guard. If you can take a moment to map out a game plan that everyone can agree on, you'll hit it out of the park.

Aquarius (January 20-February 18)

Carline Wurtzel/Romper

Your partner or another loved one may make a sharp, out-of-the-blue comment that strikes you as hurtful around Tuesday when Mercury in your twelfth house of spirituality forms a negative angle to change-maker Uranus in your third house of communication. You may also just be at your limit and burned out (and really, can anyone blame you, if you've been up all night with the teething toddler or haven't had a vacay in how long?), so you're feeling a little sensitive. Still, instead of brushing this under the rug and allowing resentment to build, you'll do well to share how you feel RN.

Pisces (February 19-March 20)

Carline Wurtzel/Romper

While Venus, the planet of love and money, is in your second house of income from Friday to March 4, you'll be itching to dive head first into a professional project that you hope will boost cash flow. Just make sure you have all the information at hand. Ultimately, if the gig fits into the delicate balance of your home life (like downtime spent with your kid and on self-care) and your professional goals, you'll come out on top.
