On the heels of many changes in her life, Gwen Stefani appears on the cover of InStyle's December 2015 issue, an the 46-year-old mother of three is radiant. In August, Stefani filed for divorce from Gavin Rosedale, her husband of 13 years and father of all of her children. On Nov. 4, reps confirmed rumors that she was dating her co-star from The Voice, Blake Shelton. The internet's been blowing up ever since.
Stefani — our favorite bombshell rocker who has stayed with us through No Doubt, her Harajuku Girls phase, and now, as judge on The Voice — has always had a wicked sense of style and attitude to match. Inspired by the recent magazine cover and its throwback crop top, we took a walk down memory lane to some of Stefani's most memorable magazine covers. Over the years, she's evolved along with her music and style, and we're excited to see what the next chapter brings Stefani. In the meantime, let's look back at some of her most iconic covers ever:
'Spin'
It's 1996 and Gwen Stefani is rocking everything the '90s embody: she's BeDazzled, from bra strap to belt to the bindi between her brows. She's also got the choker necklace, chains, and interlocked jelly bracelets we loved. Between her style and the catchy tune of Don't Speak — released in 1995 — the world is in love with Gwen Stefani.
'Dolly'
After No Doubt decided to go on a small hiatus in 2004, Stefani threw herself full-time into the production of Love. Angel. Music. Baby., her first solo album. She brings the same kickass attitude that fueled songs Hollaback Girl and Rich Girl to this Dolly magazine cover, rocking an Avril-esque tie, those strange sleeves we used to love, and a shouty bikini top.
'Flare'
With the release of The Sweet Escape, her second solo album, Stefani is all gold and glam. She's also seen roaring success with her clothing lines L.A.M.B. and Harajuku Lovers, cementing her in as a style icon.
'Marie Claire'
While Stefani still wears her signature combat boots and crop tops often, she's also sporting sleek, glam pieces. Her black, white, and gold pairings lend her a royal look — which is fitting, since she's sitting at the top of the charts while working on new music with No Doubt, taking care of two children, and seeing success with her clothing lines.
