by Olivia Youngs

There's no denying that the '90s were a decade of classics — classic fashion, classic movies, classic catch phrases. Looking back over 25 years, it's clear that the decade everyone knows and loves is a driving force in today's culture, even down to the names people choose for their babies. So if you're looking for inspiration for baby names, it only makes sense to look there too. There are more than enough baby names inspired by '90s cool girls to go around.

The great thing about names from the past is that no matter how popular they were, chances are they're more unique today. Names like Jessica, Sarah or Brittany were no doubt on the top ten list during the '90s, but today, they're less popular and a more unique choice than the names that grace our popularity charts in 2016.

Whether you're a fan of classic movies like Clueless or Empire Records, or you rushed home from school to catch the latest Saved By The Bell or Boy Meets World episode, you'll relate to these names in a whole new way as you consider them as candidates for baby names. And what's more special than naming your child after a memorable piece of your childhood?
