13 Disney Channel Stars Who Became Amazing Moms

by Ni'Kesia Pannell

It's always a weird feeling seeing your favorite stars grow up right in front of your eyes. I'm sure I can't be the only person that gets excited or surprised when one of my favorite childhood actresses gets married or announces a pregnancy. In my mind, I'm convinced I've known them all of my life and we're just the best of friends. In essence, I suppose I really have known them most of my life and went through pivotal parts of my childhood with them too. Which is why seeing my favorite Disney Channel stars who became amazing moms brings so much joy to my heart!

From stars like Lizzie McGuire's Hilary Duff to former Mousketeers like Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears, Disney has conditioned some of the best actresses and singers in the game to become amazing moms. Although I can't give all the props to Disney for these moms being totally awesome, seeing Lizzie McGuire interact with her mom have definitely given me a little insight on how to potentially deal with my daughter or son when the time comes. Take a look at these 13 Disney Channels starts who went on to steal the show as mothers.

1

Hilary Duff

Former Disney actresses and star of one of my favorite shows Lizzie McGuire, Hilary Duff is the proud mother of a 4-year-old boy named Luca. Not only is she great at being an actress, but she definitely kicks butt at being a mom too.

2

Christina Aguilera

Before she was busy telling us what a girl wants and needs, Christina Aguilera got her start on Disney Channel as a Mouseketeer. Appearing on the show from 1993 to 1995, it wasn't long before she traded in her mouse ears permanently for a microphone. Now a loving mother of two, I wonder if she'd let Max or Summer take a shot at getting their own ears if The Mickey Mouse Club was ever given another run.

Hayden Panettiere

Starring in the 2004 Disney Channel Original Movie Tiger Cruise, Hayden Panettiere has had a lengthy acting career. Also appearing in Disney's Remember the Titans, she's not only kicked butt on screen, but as a parent to her adorable young daughter, Kaya.

4

Kyla Pratt

Didn't know Kyla Pratt was a mom? Don't be surprised! The voice of Penny Proud from Disney's popular show The Proud Family kept both of her pregnancies pretty tight lipped. No clue why she would want to keep Lyric and Liyah secrets for so long because their cuteness is totally enough to make you faint.

5

Britney Spears

The former Mouseketeer and awesome performer has gotten a great handle on this whole being a mom thing.

6

Fergie

Yes, you read that right, Fergie! Though she dominated the scene with the Black Eyed Peas and as a solo star, the singer got her start in her early years as a member of The Mickey Mouse Club. Raising her son Axl is another achievement we can add to her long list of successes too!

7

Jennifer Love Hewitt

Before she was the face of the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchize and the object of many male teen's desires in the late '90s and early '00s, Jennifer Love Hewitt was sporting her own pair of mouse ears as a Mouseketeer. Now trading them in for a rattle or two, the talented actress and sometimes singer does an awesome job at being a mother to her children Autumn and Atticus.

8

Keri Russell

Another member of the Mouseketeer family, Keri Russell rose to fame in the late '90s as the curly haired college student Felicity Porter in WB's popular show, Felicity. While she's come a long way from her college-aged alter ego, I'm sure she's staying young at heart while trying to keep up with her two gorgeous kids, Willa and River.

9

Tia Mowry

Prior to becoming the loving mommy to baby Cree, Tia starred in many shows and movies with her twin sister, Tamera. Leading the role of Alexandra Fielding in the Disney Channel Original Movie's Twitches and Twitches Too, she continues to prove just how much she can thrive both on and off the screen.

10

Tamera Mowry

Just like her twin sister, Tamera Mowry appeared in the DCOM's Twitches and Twitches Too. A long way from starring alongside her sister as the jovial and fun personality having of the two, Tamera is now sharing those same genes with her two children Aden and Ariah.

11

Kirsten Storms

While she may not be cooing out the lyrics to "Supernova Girl" anymore, Kirsten Storms will always be remembered for her role in the DCOM, Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century, its follow-up films, and her role as the uppity character "Bon Bon" in Disney's Kim Possible. Aside from being our childhood hero as Zenon, she's now the hero to her own child; a beautiful daughter named Harper.

12

Anne Hathaway

The newest mom out of the round up, Anne Hathaway gave birth to her son Jonathan in April 2016. Though she technically wasn't on a Disney Channel show, her role in Disney's Princess Diaries and its sequel are enough to make a small exception.

13

Christina Millian

Christina Millian may not have been a face that you remember seeing on Disney Channel's shows, but that's only because she turned down the opportunity to be apart of the The Mickey Mouse Club and opted to star as one of the reporters for Movie Surfers. In addition, she also delivered the vocals to the theme song for Kim Possible! When she's not busy rocking the mic as one of Young Money's artists or acting in her own reality show on E!, she's super busy at mothering her adorable daughter, Violet.
