13 Things To Tell Your Partner Every Day To Strengthen Your Bond

by Ni'Kesia Pannell

Having an amazing relationship is a feeling that you just can't describe. Being able to say that you're truly in love is the ultimate dream for anyone who wants a relationship. Though happy and healthy relationships require communication, love, and positive energy, there are some things to tell your partner every day to strengthen your bond to help it grow into something worthy of #relationshipgoals.

A few years ago, I started researching people's love languages to help me better love them. When I was with my ex-boyfriend, I discovered that one of his dominant love languages was to have words of affirmation poured over him on a daily basis. By knowing this, I was able to give him more of what he needed during the time we were together. Although every person's love language may not be found in things that you say, everyone needs to know that they're loved, appreciated, and needed. Most of the time, that comes through the things you say to them.

If you're not sure what to say to your partner on a daily basis to make them feel that way, here are 13 things that are sure to bring the smiles out more often.

1

"I Love You."

Though this seems like a statement that you would say no matter what, there are times where couples may not express to their partner that they love them. Telling your partner that you love them every day is a way to remind them that the love is still there.

2

"I'm Proud Of You."

Sometimes, people go through things that we're not aware of. From feeling inadequate to not feeling as if they're doing enough, everyone struggles with something. Reminding your spouse that you see their effort and you're proud of what they are doing is a small way to show them that what they're doing is enough

3

"You're Doing A Great Job."

Whether you're married, just starting to date, or have been dating for awhile, reaffirming that your partner is doing something amazing is well needed at times. We all get down on ourselves, so having the support of your partner is a great feeling.

4

"I Believe In You."

If your spouse has a difficult job or gets stressed out easily, letting them know that you believe in them and what they're doing lets them know that you're behind them 100 percent.

5

"Thank You."

According to Everyday Health, another way to keep the bond in your relationship going strong is to say "thank you" to one another every day. Saying this for both the small and large things makes them feel appreciated.

6

"I Appreciate You."

A simple way to let your spouse know that they are appreciated is to flat out tell them. It could be for something like picking up their clothes off of the floor or starting the coffee pot without you having to ask them to. Whatever it is, let them know that you see their effort and appreciate the thought they put into doing it.

7

"How Can I Help You Today?"

Psychology Today noted that asking your partner how you can help them is a way to strengthen your bond. When you have some extra time in your day, why not dedicate that to seeing how you can assist the one you love the most?

8

"How Was Your Day?"

According to Prevention, making an effort to ask how their day was every day is a great way to keep you and your spouse close, too. It might sound a little cheesy, but it can keep the communication going and make them feel included.

9

"You're Right."

Though it may seem a little extra to do this every day, telling your partner that they're right at some point during the day is important in relationships. By doing this, you let your partner know that you have no issue admitting when you're wrong.

10

"I Trust You."

Whether it's with choosing tonight's dinner or with something more important, letting your spouse know that the trust is there is a way to keep the loving flowing in your relationship.

11

"I'll Do That For You."

Similar to asking your spouse how you can help them, telling them that you'll do something for them is a great way to show that you care and want to help them in anyway possible. It could be something as simple as picking up their dry cleaning or ironing their shirt; either way, it'll show them that you're there for them when they need you.

12

"Have A Great Day."

Though it seems cliché to say, telling your partner to have a great day is a way to show them that you're interested in how they spend their tie.

13

"You're Amazing."

Even when they haven't done anything that they feel like is amazing, reminding your partner just how amazing they are is a way to boost their confidence and put your love for them on display.
