15 DIY Popsicle Recipes That'll Keep You Cool For The Summer

by Ni'Kesia Pannell

When I was a kid, there was no better feeling than an ice cold popsicle fresh out of the freezer on a hot summer day. Though they were my absolute favorite treat to soothe my sweat back in the day, I don't have as many of them now. Perhaps it's because I try to limit my sugar intake, but there are plenty of exceptions that can be made for a delicious and tasty treat. Though it's super easy to just stock up on your favorite frozen treat, there are plenty of DIY popsicle recipes that are just as easy to create.

Now that I'm older, my taste has definitely changed. No longer do basic grape or orange popsicles make my summer days complete. Since my palate has definitely upgraded over the years, trying new recipes with multiple flavors for my popsicles is an absolute genius idea. And, since it's DIY, finding a few popsicle recipes that aren't too laced with sugar are a choice of mine too.

Whether your favorite recipe includes fruit, ice cream, or tomato juice, summer just isn't really summer without a batch of fresh popsicles to choose from. Check out these 15 DIY recipes to help you cool out for summer.
