15 Mother's Day Brunch Cocktails To Toast Mom

by Ni'Kesia Pannell

With the spring season fully in motion, it's time to prepare for the day that celebrate the leading ladies of your life. Mother's Day, even if you're not quite a mother yet, is the perfect day to pamper your mom or be pampered by those around you. And, to some, that means ordering or whipping a few Mother's Day brunch cocktails.

After all, you need something to toast the women who are raising the next generation. Although I'm not a mother myself, I sue this day to honor my mother, my sister, and many of my friends who have taken on the task of motherhood. These gestures are small in comparison to what they do every day, but it's my way of saying thank you for all they do.

Although my gifts have changed from handmade cards and gifts to things that are a littler fancier, one thing that hasn't changed is the love that pours out from me to my mom. Now that I'm a little older, there are a few other things that pour out from me as well — cocktails.

So gather your ingredients, bust out the muddler, and whip of one of these 15 cocktail (and mocktails for the mom-to-be) for your Mother's Day brunch, lunch, or mid-day splash with all of your favorite mommy's.

1

Rhubarb Caipirijito

Though its name is unusual, the rhubarb caipirijito cocktail is an amazing hodgepodge mix of a mojito of caipirinha brought to you by A Cozy Kitchen.

2

Ginger Ale Mint Limeade

A mocktail for the mommy-to-be, or those that aren't fans of alcohol, Mel's Kitchen Cafe's ginger ale mint limeade is a great addition to your Sunday brunch.

3

Ginger Peach Sangria

The warmer month's are perfect for any type of sangria, but this ginger peach sangria offered up by Love and Lemons will be your number one choice for Mother's Day.

4

Strawberry Shrub Cocktail

When the weather gets warm, the only thing I can think about is how I can indulge in any and everything strawberry based. Though this may be on a Mother's Day brunch list, A Beautiful Plate's strawberry shrub cocktail is more of my taste than my child-bearing friends.

5

Hydrating Watermelon Cucumber Slush

If you or the mommy you know aren't fans of alcohol, Hello Glow's hydrating watermelon cucumber slush is a great mocktail substitution for the real thing.

6

Sparkling Elderflower Fizz Cocktail

Topped with berries of your choice, Foodie Crush's healthier probiotic-based sparkling elderflower cocktail is the optimal choice for a relaxing brunch out by the pool.

7

Sparkling Paloma Cocktails

Another sparkling drink that would be perfect to sip out by the pool with mom, Love and Lemons delivers a tasty option with their sparkling paloma cocktails recipe.

8

Sorbet Prosecco Floats With Muddled Raspberries And Fresh Mint

Quite possibly my favorite drink on this list just strictly off of its appearance, A Beautiful Plate deliciously looking sorbet prosecco float with muddled raspberries and fresh mint will become a regular on my brunch list; even if it's not Mother's Day.

9

Easy Peach Limeade

Coming from the south, any drink that is peach-inclusive is a go for me and Big Girls Small Kitchen's non-alcoholic easy peach limeade is no exception.

10

Hibiscus Ginger Tea

I have to admit, I haven't always been a big fan of things that include ginger, but A Spicy Perspective usually doesn't steer me wrong when it comes to recipes. Meaning, this recipe for hibiscus ginger tea can't be anything other than a tasty success.

11

Pineapple Vodka Cocktail

When it comes to vodka, I'm not a huge purveyor of taste. However, I'm aware that most pineapple-based drinks are delicious, so Big Girls Small Kitchen's pineapple vodka cocktail is suitable for any festivity you're having.

12

Cranberry Margarita

I really haven't figured out if sangrias or margaritas are my favorites when it comes to drinks, but I do know that Baked by Rachel's recipe for this awesome looking cranberry margarita makes it more difficult for me to choose. Since it's Mother's Day though, I'll let my mom make the decision on which one she'd prefer for the day.

13

Basil Raspberry Mojitos

Since mojitos have a more minty taste, they haven't always been mine or my mother's favorite drink to gulp down. A Spicy Perspective's basil raspberry mojito gives a nice spin on the traditional drink that could have us reconsidering our previous angst towards the drink.

14

Tart Cherry Margaritas

Margaritas have always been my first choice when it comes to anything dealing with mixed drinks and this could be because of my undeniable love for tacos. My love for margaritas (preferably frozen) has also rubbed off on both my sister and my mother and this tart cherry margarita recipe from Ari's Menu is sure to be in the top choosing for our Mother's Day brunch festivities.

15
