Here’s a fun fact: not all clitorises have the same size and shape. Weird, right? The variance of penis size has been a topic of conversation since, well, the dawn of time, and turns out you lady bits can differ in size as well. And the size of your clitoris can actually affect your sex life in some surprising ways.

The size differences can affect the mechanics of sex, and women with smaller ones may experience some frustrations in the bedroom. But on the other side, women with large clitorises may feel self-conscious about them. There isn’t an ideal; it’s all just biology.

And how do you even know if you’re packing an average size? Good question. Women’s Health notes that there’s a lot size variation when it comes to what is considered “normal,” but most have an clitorises have an average width of 0.8 centimeters and an average length of 1.6 centimeters. So most of the real “size” can’t be seen. But for what it’s worth, here are a few ways that size may indeed matter when it comes to your clitoris.
