9 Teeth Whitening Hacks To Get The Best Smile

From taking pictures to networking, one of the first things that people are drawn to are your teeth. So, naturally, you want to make sure that they are at their best. But with the amount of things that are consumed and chomped on in mouths, it's easy for those pearly whites to be not-so-pearly. That's why having some teeth whitening hacks handy can change your life without breaking the bank in the process.

Yes it may seem a little vein, but achieving a bright, white smile is important to many people. And it's not the easiest thing to achieve. So many of my friends use whitening strips for their teeth. But the reviews on the classic strip aren't always the best. Not to mention they are kind of pricey. (To be honest, I'm a bit taken aback when I see how much they cost.) Now that I've come across a few hacks to help me get my smile at its best while staying on a good budget, I'm good to go. The best part about it is most of the items are things that are already around the house.

If you're looking for a few ways to get your smile blinging, give these nine hacks a go and see if they help.

Use An Orange Peel

According to Elite Daily, scrubbing your teeth with an orange peel can help keep your smile as bright as pearls. If oranges aren't a favorite of yours, banana peels work, too.

Eat Crunchy Carrots

If you love eating carrots, this hack will definitely be for you. Home Remedy Hacks noted that eating crunchy carrots can make your teeth whiter, because carrots are a natural cleanser and prevent the formation of plaque.

Avoid Tea, Coffee, & Red Wine

Lifehack noted that teeth become whiter when you avoiding tea, coffee, red wine and smoking. If you still want to use them, just be sure to rinse your mouth out with water immediately afterwards.

Eat An Apple A Day

According to Redbook, high water content in apples keep teeth white and remove stains.

Use Some Baking Soda & Peroxide

If you're still looking for an at home remedy for white teeth, Colgate suggested using baking soda and peroxide as a paste for your teeth about two to three times a week. Thanks to the free radicals found in peroxide, the combination will break down stain-causing molecules on tooth enamel.

Add Some Charcoal Powder To Your Toothpaste

According to Home Remedy Hacks, adding a bit of charcoal powder to your toothpaste will assist with prevention of yellow colored teeth because of the crystal-based chemical found in it.

Use Baking Soda & Lemon Juice

Teen noted that mixing some lemon juice and baking soda together and rubbing it on your teeth with a Q-tip is another way to help whiten your smile. Since baking soda is a mild abrasive and lemon juice has bleaching properties, the two together work well for whitening your smile. After 30 seconds, rinse your mouth out and proceed to brush your teeth.

Gargle With Apple Cider Vinegar

Colgate also noted that gargling with apple cider vinegar consistently over a few weeks can whiten your teeth because it has whitening properties. If gargling is too much for you, turn it into a paste by mixing it with a bit of baking soda to use a few times a week.

Brush With Turmeric & Coconut Oil

According to Teen, brushing your teeth with a mixture of turmeric and coconut oil and letting it sit for five minutes will help your smile get brighter. Due to the abrasiveness and astringent properties of turmeric, it will help whiten your teeth.
