Get To Know Danielle And Adam Busby's Religious Beliefs

After struggling with infertility, Danielle and Adam Busby were blessed with a daughter, and then five more in 2015, constituting the first American all-female set of quintuplets ever. The couple has since gained national attention and a TLC reality show, OutDaughtered. But are Danielle and Adam Busby religious? They certainly give all the glory to God for their large family.

According to the Busbys' family blog, "It's a Buzz World," Danielle and Adam met while both of them were working at Target and have been together for 13 years. They suffered through the pains of infertility before turning to intrauterine insemination (IUI), and after two years of IUI treatments, they welcomed their first daughter, Blayke, who is now 5 years old. Another set of IUI treatments and four years later, they made history with their famous five girls — quintuplets Ava Lane, Olivia Marie, Hazel Grace, Riley Paige, and Parker Kate.

The Busby family has openly shared their faith in interviews with the media. They spoke to KHOU.com, a Houston-based news site, shortly after the birth of the quintuplets. Danielle pointed to God as the source of their miracle babies:

We are so thankful and blessed and I honestly give all the credit to my God. I am so thankful for this wonderful hospital and team of people here, they truly all are amazing.

Danielle has also spoken extensively about hers and Adam's faith on the family's blog. She shared the pains of infertility and how it affected her faith:

I remember asking Adam one evening, 'WHY?!?! Why must we go through all this again? WHAT is God teaching US this time?! WHAT are we supposed to LEARN this time around?!' One of the questions I asked God was 'What is it this time … what do you want from me?' So many questions that I know I will never have the answer too [sic]… but sometimes you just have to express those emotions and cry out to God.

And she also explained that her faith is the source of her strength through all of the ups and downs of the road that led the Busbys to where they are today:

As challenging as our infertility journey has been and as challenging as our future will be…I would not change anything about it. God knows our hearts and knows our needs and He will always be there to provide for us. Do not ever give up on God. … YOU NEVER know how many blessing(s) will come your way.

Danielle isn't the only Busby to discuss her faith. On the family blog, Adam wrote that doctors advised the family to abort several of the fetuses to give the others a better chance of surviving. However, he said that they decided to lean "on to our faith and convictions." They attempted, and succeeded, to bring all five babies to term — in line with their religious convictions.

There is little known about the Busbys, aside from their family and faith. Fortunately, new fans will have the chance to get to know their amazing story through their show, OutDaughtered.

Season 3 of OutDaughtered premiered on TLC on May 10 and airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
