There are arguably many memorable contestants on Season 21 of The Bachelor, but one that has really made the biggest impression in my mind is Alexis Waters aka Shark Girl. Since Day 1, Alexis has made a point of standing out either with her interesting wardrobe (a shark/dolphin costume) or by just cracking amazing jokes on a daily basis. All-in-all, this dolphin lover has proven to be quiet the catch (see what I did there?), so just on the off-chance that Nick doesn't smarten up and choose her as his soon-to-be wife, is Alexis still single after The Bachelor? After some good, old-fashioned social media stalking, that certainly seems to be the case.
Granted, it's always difficult to know for sure what the relationship status currently is for most contestants on the show. This is mainly due to the fact that they're supposed to keep that aspect of their life on the down low, otherwise fans would automatically know who Nick doesn't end up choosing. And really, what would be the fun in that? So there don't seem to be any special guys featured on Alexis' Twitter and Instagram accounts, which means a.) she is still on the market, b.) has a boyfriend, but can't post anything for fear of spoiling Season 21's outcome, or c.) she is the one who ends up with Nick after all.
Now as much as I would love to believe in that third option, I'm not very confident it's how this season will eventually play out. This is mainly due to the fact that I feel she and Nick have rarely spent any quality time together. So unless they go on a one-on-one date soon, I fear he'll end up cutting her loose because he's already developed strong relationships with other contestants on the show.
But even if that's the case, there doesn't appear to be anyone else special in Alexis' life at the moment. However, I wouldn't say she's all that worried about her love life at the present time, especially since she seems to have developed some pretty kickass friendships throughout her time in the Bachelor Mansion. Her social media is filled to the brim with photos and tweets of/at various other contestants, proving that there's not as much animosity in the house as the series tries to let on. Alexis seems particularly close to Rachel and Raven, both of whom have established close relationships with Nick. So it's nice to see they aren't letting that fact get in the way of their friendship.
I don't know how this will all end for Alexis, but it's clear that she's doing just fine, whether she's the future Mrs. Viall or not. She hasn't lost that humor and charm that made us fall in love with her in the first place. So regardless of who Nick chooses, I'm not worried about Shark Girl. She'll be able to just keep swimming and succeed in whatever she does next.
