Is Ken Bone At The Last Presidential Debate? He Is Part Of The Story

by Kathleen Walsh

The second presidential debate was town hall style, meaning that the candidates answered questions posed to them by the audience members themselves. This resulted in the surprising rise to internet celebrity of the lovable Ken Bone and his bright red pullover sweater. Many agreed that he was the real winner of the second presidential debate. The world now wants to know, is Ken Bone at the last presidential debate? He's not there in person, but he's still going to be a part of the story.

At this debate, hardly anyone remembers what question Ken Bone actually asked. His question was: "What steps will your energy policy take to meet our energy needs while at the same time remaining environmentally friendly and minimizing job layoffs?" in case you were wondering. But he actually won the world over with his genial demeanor, his fabulous outfit, and just his name: Ken Bone. Even more endearing was his reason behind the red sweater. Apparently he had a nice olive suit that would have looked very professional on television and made his mother proud, but unfortunately he had gained a bit of weight and split the pants of the suit right before the event. Which is why he had to run out and buy the famous sweater.

Because the third and final presidential debate might just be unbearable without our new national hero, Jimmy Kimmel of all people has come to the rescue. Ken Bone is actually "covering" the third debate, dressed in his now iconic outfit, for Jimmy Kimmel Live! He said that he will be "taking notes and pretending that I’m a real journalist,” for the show. Bless him. He also added “I’m sure there will be a comedic element.” Naturally.

Personally, while I find Ken Bone as endearing as anyone, I'm still confused as to how he can still be undecided. Undecided? Still? Sweetheart, it's time to make up your mind. That being said, I can't wait to see his take on the final debate, and to see if it has finally swayed him one way or the other. I also can't wait to see how Jimmy Kimmel will respond to his final decision.
