Fans Are Dying To Know If Khloé Kardashian & Tristan Thompson Are Married

You guys, it's finally official and you have full permission to freak out: on Wednesday evening, Khloé Kardashian finally announced her first pregnancy with beau Tristan Thompson on Instagram, and fans are absolutely losing it. If you've fallen behind on your Kardashian trivia, though, you might have a question or three about what's happening. Is Khloé Kardashian married to Tristan Thompson? How long have they been dating? And is that a ring on her finger in her pregnancy announcement picture? We. Have. Questions. People.

Thompson and Kardashian aren't married yet — or the public doesn't know about it — but they've been dating for over a year now, according to Us Weekly. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and Thompson, a Canadian basketball player, made their first public appearance together in September 2016, but rumors that they were dating first came up a month before, in August.

Fans were quick to notice a ring on Kardashian's ring finger when she posted her pregnancy announcement on Wednesday, but Kardashian's big announcement unfortunately didn't touch on any possible nuptials. However, Kardashian has spoken about marrying Thompson in the past. In fact, just this August, she told YOU:

I’m in the best relationship I’ve ever been in and it doesn’t take a ring for me to feel that way. I believe in marriage and I want to be married again one day but I don’t have a time frame. Why do people think that marriage equates to happiness? There are a lot of people in unhealthy marriages.

According to E! News, when ES asked Kardashian back in April if she would accept a proposal from Thompson the following day, she said, "Yes, I would" — adding that she had never experienced "this type of love" before.

On Wednesday, however, there was no mention of engagements or weddings, so if the two are married, they're not sharing that tidbit with the world yet. (Instead, they're just sharing pictures with certain rings on certain fingers.) Instead, Kardashian shared the news that they were expecting, along with the following loving message about her boyfriend (fiancé? husband?):

I still at times can't believe that our love created life! Tristan, thank you for loving me the way that you do! Thank you for treating me like a Queen! Thank you for making me feel beautiful at all stages! Tristan, most of all, Thank you for making me a MOMMY!!! You have made this experience even more magical than I could have envisioned! I will never forget how wonderful you've been to me during this time! Thank you for making me so happy my love!

Personally, it seems like big enough news all on its own, but fans quickly jumped from one mystery (is Kardashian pregnant?) to the next (wait, is she married?) once they saw her Instagram picture. Questions quickly piled up online:

According to Hollywood Life, unnamed sources have said that planning for a wedding is already underway. A report on Dec. 7 claimed that they would be keeping the ceremony "very small," and that it would take place after their baby was born.

Whether wedding bells are ringing (or have already rung, I suppose?) or not, Thompson and Kardashian are clearly very happy together, and very excited about this next stage of their lives. "I am really excited about my future. Me and Tristan, we’re doing so well," Kardashian said in Season 13 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians earlier this year, according to Us Weekly.

Congratulations to the happy couple! Whether that congratulations is just for a pregnancy or also includes a marriage, however, remains to be seen.
