Janet Jackson's Net Worth Is Staggering

by Becky Bracken

Janet Jackson has been famous pretty much her whole life. Which is part of the reason why it's so nice to hear that the pop diva has traded in her dancing shoes and iconic jams for a little while to focus on raising her newborn son with her husband Wissam Al Mana. Girl has earned some time off and has plenty of cash in the bank to keep her in style for the rest of her life, if she chooses. Janet Jackson's net worth is staggering, even compared to her very wealthy husband. She definitely knows how to earn that money.

Jackson rang in the New Year with the birth of her baby boy, Eissa Al Mana on Jan. 3, according to E! News. Jackson announced several months before that she was taking a break from her Unbreakable tour to "rest up — doctor's orders," E News reported, and a few months later the singer confirmed rumors she was pregnant and preparing to give birth at 50.

"Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably,” a rep for her husband told People.

And while her fans are always eager to get a taste of Jackson's music and dancing, she is already set financially for life even if she never hits another note.

According to Yahoo News, over her career, Jackson has cashed in to the tune of $81 million in music and book publishing, has earned more than $260 million in album sales, another $458 million from touring, and another $300 million in movies and other businesses. Yahoo also reported that Jackson has also spent quite a bit of that money, as any bad*ss worth her reputation would, leaving Jackson with a net worth of more than $175 million. Not too shabby.

But she's not the rich one in the marriage, if you can believe it. According to Billboard, Al Mana is a Qatari businessman who oversees a massive company worth more than $1 billion. It's a family business, which Billboard adds includes real estate holdings, engineering and construction, and fashion labels including Hermes, Sonia Rykiel, and Agent Provacateur.

The two married in 2012, according to Yahoo News. In June 2015, Jackson released one of her latest hits, "No Sleep" which she dedicated to Al Mana, who she referred to in a tweet as "My Love."

Congratulations to the happy, and very wealthy, family. And here's to many years more to come. And even though Janet might not need the money, let's hope she doesn't stay out of the public eye for too long.
