Kelly Clarkson's Facebook Live Video With River Rose Was The Cutest Ever

by Alana Romain

American Idol alum Kelly Clarkson shared her second mini-concert video with the world Tuesday in the lead up to a surprise announcement on Friday, and while her performance was predictably amazing (I mean, she's Kelly Clarkson), the video was great for another reason: her daughter, River Rose, made an appearance. According to Today Parents, 2-year-old River could be seen at the beginning of the video — shot in Clarkson's living room — ahead of her mom's performance of Foreigner's "I Want To Know What Love Is." And as much as the clip left everyone wondering about what's still to come, Kelly Clarkson's Facebook Live video with River Rose was totally the cutest ever, and will probably be hard to top.

Clarkson first announced her plan to film a series of videos Monday, when she explained she'd be singing a new song each day, each of which would contain a clue about what it is she plans to announce during the final video. Her first song? Otis Redding's "These Arms Of Mine," which, naturally, she slayed. And while it isn't exactly clear what the two songs have in common, Clarkson's musical director Jason Halpert, who is accompanying the singer on piano all week, did give viewers a few hints — or, at least, hints about what the announcement wasn't going to be. While Clarkson chatted to the camera during her second video, Halpert held up handwritten signs behind her, one of them saying "not pregnant," and another saying "it's not a tour." Well there go my guesses!

Clarkson also took some time at the end of the video to answer fans' questions, although she did admit that she was feeling super nervous about talking on camera as opposed to singing. But one thing she did seem able to discuss pretty authoritatively was motherhood, now that she's a busy mom of two. Clarkson said,

There are not enough books in the world that you can read for motherhood. It's just one of those things you have to experience. It's like the most amazing thing but then, at the same time, it's like the most pressure in the world because you're forming a life. It's just so heavy, so try and be light-hearted about it as much as you can.

Clarkson gave birth to her second child, Remington Alexander Blackstock, on April 12, according to the Daily Mail, and posted a birth announcement on Twitter saying they "couldn't be happier or more in love."

Does that mean that more children might be in Clarkson's future? Not from the sounds of it. When answering a fan question about her annual Christmas benefit concert, Miracle on Broadway (which she had to cancel last year because she was pregnant) Clarkson admitted she was done with pregnancy:

I wasn't able to do it last year...because, I have the worst pregnancies in the world — #hyperemesis #suck #ineverwanttobepregnantagain.

(Gotta love a celeb who speaks in hashtags.)

But there definitely seems to be a lot of love in the Clarkson-Blackstock household. Recently, Clarkson shared some too cute for words pics from River's sweet second birthday party, and she also posted a loving tribute to her husband on Father's Day, thanking him for being "such a great dad [to] all 4 of [their] kiddos" (Blackstock has two children from a previous marriage).

Clarkson's next video in her series will be going live on her Facebook page at 11 a.m. Central Time.
