Twitter Loved Rachel’s Family On ‘The Bachelor’

As we all know, Nick really blew it on The Bachelor. Just kidding (not really), but we do know that Rachel Lindsay is the next Bachelorette — which means that in the end, Nick does not end up choosing her. At this point, though, Rachel's still in the running; Nick went for a hometown visit in Dallas on Monday's episode. While it went well, we knew while watching that it doesn't work out between the two. The hometown date, though, just got us more excited for Rachel's Bachelorette season. Reactions to Rachel's family on The Bachelor hometown dates prove we're so excited for her Bachelorette journey.

We were all a little shocked when ABC broke the news a bit early that Rachel is the next Bachelorette. However, we were so blinded by excitement that we got over it quickly. What's interesting is that they announced it long before Rachel leaves the show. As of Monday night's episode, she was still a frontrunner. As one of the final four, Nick visited her hometown in Dallas. Unfortunately, her dad wasn't there due to work obligations, but luckily Nick met her other family members: her mother, sisters, brother-in-law, and cousin. As Rachel is the first black woman Nick is in a serious relationship with (as serious as a relationship can be on The Bachelor, but regardless), they did not hesitate to talk about what being in an interracial relationship means for them.

Rachel's family stood out so much that fans of social media are excited to see more of them — on her season of The Bachelorette:

Fans may have been as dumbfounded as we were watching that date; Nick and Rachel seem so into each other, how does their relationship end? How does she end up The Bachelorette? We'll have to wait and find out, but at least we know we'll see a lot more of Rachel come this summer. Rachel's family seemed caring and real, and we'll definitely see more of them during The Bachelorette. Hopefully, too, we'll be able to meet Rachel's dad and find out what he thinks of all this. If Rachel's family didn't hesitate to grill Nick, how will they be with Rachel's suitors? While Nick's hometown visit with Rachel was a little bittersweet, it only made us more excited for what's to come.
