Reactions To The Final 4 Words Of The 'Gilmore Girls' Revival Prove Fans Are Very Devoted

by Allison Piwowarski

(Warning: This post contains spoilers from Episode 4 of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.) Fans have been waiting to hear what Amy Sherman-Palladino's final four words of Gilmore Girls are for years. Literally, almost 10 years for this reveal. So, you bet when the new Netflix series dropped fans were listening out for those final four words. And then they happened. And whether you were expecting them or not, you probably had some type of emotion. Five stages of grief? Yes. Happiness? Eventually. Shock. UH, YEAH. Reactions to the final four words of the Gilmore Girls revival prove that this is not a black and white issue. These four words hold a lot of weight, and people are not taking them lightly.

So, let's just say it. "Mom?" "Yeah?" "I'm pregnant." There it is. The final four words we've all been waiting for. Rory revealing she is pregnant is a true "comes-full-circle" moment. She is currently not in a relationship. The father of her child is not known (although suspected to be either Paul, Wookie, or the most reasonable option, Logan). She also seems very ready to raise the child on her own. Something she without a doubt got from her mother.

That, in itself, is worth a good cry. The fact that Rory has had such a close relationship with her mom makes it seem OK that she'll possibly be going it alone. But, that's not the only reaction people are having.

Some Fans Just Want More

Honestly, same though. Amy Sherman-Palladino, please do us the favor and indulge us, one last time.

And Some Fans Just Need To Talk

At least Twitter can act as a support group.

The good news is, we're all in this together. And until Amy Sherman-Palladino joins us, we have fan fiction, right?
