‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 Got Its First Teaser

While it's true that a majority of my Super Bowl viewing time is either dedicated to the clever commercials that break up the monotony of actual football (sorry, not sorry), or stuffing my face with vast amounts of delicious food, this year gifted sports fans and non-sports fans alike with a special surprise for all to enjoy. I'm referring, of course, to the Stranger Things Season 2 Super Bowl teaser that graced all of our screens amid all of the touchdowns and snack-bingeing. And as you would expect, it was basically amazing and made sure to quench our thirst for the Netflix thriller, at least for the time being.

Up until now, very little has been revealed about what the show's second installment of this series would be about except for the fact that it will take place in the year 1984, which is one year after the events of Season 1 unfolded. And while this brief clip still made sure to leave fans with still more questions than answers, it was still so great to catch a glimpse of everything that is to come. And from the look of things, it's going to be as action-packed and exciting as ever. But then again, did we really expect anything less from this streaming sensation?

The commercial featured some of your favorite Stranger Things kids, who have been dominating on the red carpet in the aftermath of their newfound fame. Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) were all back in character and dressed as Ghostbusters no less. And it also revealed when the show will be returning, which is appropriately on Halloween!

The clip was short, but it was just enough to satiate our appetites for all of the insanity that is on the way. Not only did Eggo waffles get a prominent placement in the clip (because, of course), but fans also got another glimpse of Eleven herself, nose-bleeding and all, as well as another dark force that is clearly making its way to this town. In other words, get ready for another great season.

The show may center around the Upside Down, but this teaser did a spectacular job in turning my world right-side up.
