The 2017 Emmy Nominations Full List Includes All TV Favorites

Though the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards won't be airing until Sept. 17, the nominations for each category were released Thursday July 13. That gives dedicated Emmy viewers more than enough time to celebrate their favorite show's nominations, bemoan the most egregious snubs, and try to figure out who has the best chance of running off with a coveted statuette. With critically popular shows like Game of Thrones out of the running this year, there are bound to be some shocks and surprises filling those empty spots. But rest assured, the 2017 Emmy nominations full list includes all your favorite shows.

The nomination announcements were hosted by Anna Chumsky and Shemar Moore, along with Television Academy Chairman and CEO Hayma Washington, while the Emmys themselves will be hosted by Stephen Colbert. Many critics and fans alike expected noms for new popular shows like Westworld, The Handmaid's Tale, and This Is Us, with perhaps a few nods to long-running shows like The Americans that hadn't gotten much award attention in the past despite earning other kinds of acclaim. But predictions are a tricky thing. Some of those shows may have earned the honor of an Emmy Award nominations, but others will have to wait until next year.
