This Mom Ends Her Baby's Bedtime Routine With A Victory Dance, & You Will Totally Relate

by Jackie Bernstein

For new moms, advice on getting your baby to sleep is cheap and plentiful. It would appear that there are as many ways to plan the "perfect" bedtime routine as there are parents in the universe. So, you just have to choose one approach and stick with it, right?

Er... maybe. No matter how carefully you plan naps and bedtime for your baby, you'll still come face to face with a wide-awake infant in the middle of the night. Most likely, you'll need to do some tinkering with a sleep routine to find out what works and what doesn't.

Lauren Newton, mom to 7-month-old Chase, has developed a nightly sleep routine through trial, error, and a zen-like philosophy.

"It's about not putting too much pressure on yourself," she says, explaining that Chase's status as a "champion sleeper" ended swiftly after he started teething. In other words, what works one day may not work the next — and that's OK.

No matter where you are on your journey to sound sleeping, Babies“R”Us has all the tools you need to Be Prepared-ish™ for whatever parenthood brings. That's why we've partnered with them on "Ask Mom Anything," a video series that asks real moms what's working for them.

Check out the video below for Lauren's sleep advice for new moms and an intimate peek into what makes baby Chase go "zzzzz."
