This Woman Took A Selfie While Her Sister Was Giving Birth, & It's Actually Hilarious

Is there anything stronger than the bond of family? Sisterhood, perhaps? As the Kardashians have made famously clear, sisterhood is amazing. And, sometimes, there aren't exactly a lot of boundaries between two sisters, however odd that may seem to outsiders. And this woman's viral selfie taken during her sister's birth proves just that.

Kat Armendariz, a new aunt, cemented her place in the selfie hall of fame with a photo she shared to Imgur earlier this week featuring her sister participating in that ever-so relaxing activity of childbirth. Accompanied with the witty caption, "SELFIE! While my sister is about to shove a baby out her vag!" Armendariz's photo is equal parts sweet, sassy, and hilarious. And her sister's face in the background as she pushes a human being out of her? Pure gold.

Yeah, sisters really do share an immeasurable bond, don't they?

Armendariz tells Romper:

The photo was taken at Sierra Providence E. Medical Center, I took the photo June 29th at 3:14am. We really didn't expect it to go this far, but we're both really honored that baby Zayden's grand entrance went viral. How cool is that?!

Pretty freaking cool.

OK, so obviously, Armendariz was probably in the room to love and support her sister during her labor, but this photo is nonetheless hilarious. And in case you thought she was insensitive towards her sister's pain, Armendariz has five children, according to Mashable. She also explained what was going on moments before the photo was taken:

She wasn't in too much pain at first, so she thought it was pretty funny. I told her I was going to do it, she just started the oxytocin and the labor pains began almost instantly. She started to feel it and right when she was like, 'Oh my god I can't take this,' I took the photo.

While we don't know what happened after the selfie was captured, it seems like a safe bet to assume Armendariz was right by her sister's side, as sisters are. Because while her selfie might have been silly, Armendariz knows better than most that childbirth is no joke. Seriously, having five kids should come with some kind of medal, right? At least a viral photo is something to hold on to though.

Step aside, Kardashians. The Armendariz family has some competition for your selfie game. And it's awesome.
