Fourteen years has past, but, still, it's impossible to not find Daniel Radcliffe utterly adorable in 2001's Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. But do you know what's even more adorable than Daniel Radcliffe in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone? Video of Daniel Radcliffe's audition for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
It's not a new video — the screen test made its way online in early 2014 — but, hey, if we can't have Butterbeer to cheer us up during this difficult week, we can at least have re-watches of Radcliffe's impressive audition. Even if the actor himself doesn't find it impressive. In an interview with UK's The Times Magazine, Radcliffe said his reaction upon being sent a YouTube link of his screen test was, "I was like, 'Oh sh*t! OK... '"
Understandable, even if I can't understand it watching the video — it's easy to be your own worst critic. Especially if you're comparing your skills as a grown adult to your skills as an 11-year-old, the age Radcliffe was when Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was released.
Still, if you find yourself thinking, "Accio warm fuzzies!" after this week, this will certainly do the trick.
Also, how cute is it to watch Radcliffe fumble with his glasses before suavely transforming into the Boy Who Lived?
I think I just found your Patronus, Harry Potter fans.
