Stores across the country have begun to publicize their Black Friday sales, so it's almost time to start working on your day after Thanksgiving plan of action. Do you go to the mall first? Head to stores like Best Buy for electronics? Make Toys "R" Us and the most important and popular toys on your kids' lists this year your priority? Deciding on the order of stores where you're going to shop on Black Friday can be critical to your shopping success — and part of that depends on when each store will open its doors. If you're wondering, "what time does Old Navy open on Black Friday?" so that you know how your Old Navy shopping will best fit into the day, here's what you need to know.
According to their press release, Old Navy will open bright and early at 5 a.m. on Black Friday for all of your desperate deal-searching needs. Shop early and make sure you snag all of the items you need for everyone on your list. Or sleep in and head over later in the day: Old Navy stores will close at 10 p.m. on Friday, November 24, so you'll have plenty of time to make sure you make it to the store and take advantage of the final day of Old Navy's three days of Black Friday sales.
That's right, Black Friday is no longer just one day, or, at least, it isn't at Old Navy. The retailer is celebrating the beginning of the "official" holiday shopping season with three full days of Black Friday deals. The sale kicks off on Wednesday, November 22 — the day before Thanksgiving — at 9 a.m., with 50 percent off of nearly everything in the store. If you can't make it to the store because you're busy with Thanksgiving dinner preparations — a completely understandable excuse — the chain has you covered. There are deals online as well as in the actual physical stores. The Black Friday sale will exclude things like gift cards, in-store clearance items, jewelry, special deals, and register lane purchases, according to the company's press release.
Plus, if you've been a fan of the retailer's annual summer flip flop sale, you'll also like the wintry version: $1 pairs of cozy socks, which are normally $5. Old Navy is donating $1 for each pair of cozy socks sold during the sale to the Boys and Girls Club (up to $1 million) for job training programs for youth. The socks will keep your feet warm — and your heart happy — all winter long. With all the shopping you're going to be doing both over these few days as well as the remainder of the holiday shopping season, buying a few stocking stuffers or hostess gifts that are not only affordable, but also let you give back at the same time, will help provide a little bit of holiday balance, celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas, Hanukkah, birthdays, and more all at the same time.
If you're not hosting or attending a big, all day-long Thanksgiving event and are looking to get a jump start on your holiday shopping that day, before everyone else heads out for Black Friday shopping, you can shop Old Navy's Black Friday sale on Thanksgiving Day from 3 p.m. until 1 a.m. on Friday morning. After you find all the goodies you were looking for at Old Navy, there's still time before you need to implement your Black Friday plan of attack. Head home for a couple hours of rest, a plate of leftovers, and maybe another slice of pie before making your way out to brave the crowds once again.
