Where To Buy 'Wonder Woman' Toys

by Cameron Norsworthy

Tell your kids to make room next to their Batman and Superman action figures, because their collections definitely won't be complete without these latest roll-outs. If you're wondering where to buy Wonder Woman toys, there are plenty of places you can be sure to hit up. Whether they're for your young ones or for yourself, these toys are the perfect mementos of a film that pretty much everyone agrees was totally worth seeing.

You might want to order your toys online now, because it's likely that they'll sell out quickly. Jim Silver, editor of toy review site TTPM.com, shared with Bloomberg that he estimates around $100 million in Wonder Woman toy sales, just from merchandise tied directly to the film. Of course, there are other tie-ins to consider, too. Karina Masolova, executive editor of The Licensing Letter, which tracks licensing revenue, anticipates $1 billion in sales of licensed merch on a global scale. Can you say "girl power?"

Plenty of stores and sites are equipped to handle the tides of fans that are now turning their way. While you're shopping for laundry detergent and groceries, you can even check for your faves; Target has it all, from Wonder Woman LEGO sets to accessories (shields and arm cuffs, of course) to fashionable, superhero Barbies. Amazon has Wonder Woman dolls, too, and your child can even get their very own Wonder Woman costume, available with lighting-fast shipping on Prime.

Mattel has an awesome Hero-Action Bow, perfect for fighting villains, and your local Toys "R" Us will no doubt come through with a glimmering, heroic sword.

Extra-attentive fans may already know that a line of Wonder Woman toys premiered even before the movie. In March, Warner Bros. Consumer Products president Pam Lifford was ecstatic to share "an incredible assortment of trend-right products in collaboration with our best-in-class licensees, allowing fans of all ages to express their fandom and bring Wonder Woman's empowerment, inspiration and beauty to life."

Still, one iconic toy isn't even on the market yet, and collectors might have to wait a while to get their hands on the most lifelike Wonder Woman toy around. Hot Toys' 11.5 inch figure is basically the Madame Tussauds wax figure of superhero dolls. Costing around $235 USD, the Wonder Woman training armor collectible won't come out until next year. If you've just got to have it, you'd be wise to place your preorder now.

Superhero fans, both veteran and new, helped Wonder Woman set records in its opening weekend and beyond. For many, watching a strong, butt-kicking heroine crush it on the big screen was absolutely empowering. These toys are fun, at-home reminders of all that awesome, theatrical feminist energy, and all of your major toy retailers are happily rising to the occasion.
