These Clues Suggest Wren Is A.D. On 'PLL'

by Zakiya Jamal

The end is almost here. Pretty Little Liars is coming to a close, which means fans finally get all the answers they deserve, especially in regards to A.D.'s identity. There's been tons of theories and speculation about who the Liars endless tormenter is and at this point just about everyone is a suspect. From Spencer's alleged twin to Ezra to Melissa to everyone in between. But one popular suspect is also Wren Kingston. Melissa and Spencer's ex has always been suspicious to fans and there's tons of clues Wren is A.D. on Pretty Little Liars. But could it really be him?

Did he really hate the Liars enough to torment them for years? Also, wasn't he in London for a while with Melissa? And what exactly is his motive as A.D.? Did he really like Charlotte so much that he wanted her death to be avenged? It seems very questionable but while some may argue against it, there's definitely some merit to this theory. Plus, Wren didn't just randomly show up this season for no reason. Show creator I. Marlene King has said she's been dropping clues about who A.D. is throughout the final 10 episodes. Maybe his brief appearance was one of them. Thankfully, fans won't have to wait much longer to find out the truth. For now, here's all the evidence that Wren is guilty.

He's British, Just Like Archer Dunhill

Fans have speculated that Archer and Wren are actually related somehow, or at least colleagues. They're both British and doctors, which seems a little too much to just be a coincidence. If they did know each other, it'd make sense that they were working together against the Liars.

He's Been Mysteriously Absent

Wren has supposedly been in London this whole time, but if that's the case why was he randomly in Philly for a layover. Where were you going Wren? What are you up to?

He's Probably Working With Spencer's Twin

If the "Spencer has a twin" theory is to be believed, many fans agree that Wren is probably working with her, hence the airport scene. It could be that Wren is A.D. and Spencer's twin is one of his minions, or they're equal partners. Either way, everyone can agree that airport scene was very suspicious.

He Shoots Someone in the Finale Promo

In the promo for the finale, Wren is clearly aiming a gun at someone. That's certainly not something innocent people tend to do. Additionally, Reddit user Catryna suggests this scene is actually a flashback and Wren is shooting Spencer's twin so she'll have the same scar from Spencer's gunshot wound and that's how "Twincer" is able to trade places with the real Spencer. This again reiterates the idea that Wren and "Twincer" are working together as A.D.

You can find out who's really A.D. when the Pretty Little Liars series finale airs on Freeform at 8 p.m. EST on Tuesday, June 27.
