Erika Jayne Brought The Heat On 'DWTS'

by Chrissy Bobic

It was never a big secret that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne would do well on Season 24 of Dancing With the Stars since she's already an experienced singer and performer. And Erika Jayne's salsa dance on Dancing With the Stars to her own song "XXPEN$IVE" proves that the reality star and singer really does have moves to take her and partner Gleb Savchenko far this season.

Their performance started off with tones from the RHOBH star's own music video for the song, complete with a freaking unicorn (yes, a unicorn!), and once they got into their routine it was full of sensuality and fast moves that made it seem like Erika and Gleb had been dancing together for much longer than they've been. In their intro video Erika said, "A woman of my age of 45 is still dreaming big and pushing limits" and that it's important for others to see that as she makes sure to "put these people on notice right away."

It's safe to say she accomplished that and more as she moved fast with her pro partner to her own song in a sexy salsa exchange. Somewhere in there, Erika fit in expertly executed splits too and for that alone she and Gleb probably should have gotten a couple scores higher than the four sixes they received.

She already has plenty of fans and followers from being a Real Housewife and her strong and confident performance will likely get a lot more people wondering who Erika is. Erika brought a lot of sexiness and sensuality to their performance on DWTS, which was so empowering for not only women of 45 like Erika, but for all women in general. It's important to be able to feel sexy and confident and that was a big part of Erika's salsa dance. Before getting their scores of a collective 24 out of 40, judge Carrie Ann Inaba told Erika, "You exude so much confidence," and any RHOBH fan can attest to that.

If this is any indication of what's to come, Erika and Gleb's scores are sure to rise as the season progresses. Aside from being one of the stars of Bravo's Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Erika is a recording artist who's been featured on Billboard's Dance Club Song chart. And Erika's salsa dance on DWTS paired with her song "XXPEN$IVE" was probably the perfect way to introduce her to the show.
