How To Find 4th Of July Fireworks Near You

by Tessa Shull

It's truly hard to believe that the 4th of July is almost here. For my husband's family, who come from all over the United States to watch the fireworks, it's the biggest holiday of the year. So, naturally, it's come to be one of my favorite times of the year as well. If you're not part of an annual fireworks tradition, however, it can be difficult to know how to find 4th of July fireworks near you. Luckily, there are a few tried and true ways to figure out where to catch the best displays each year.

The most utilized and obvious way to find solid 4th of July fireworks happening near you is to jump online and use a search engine, like Google, to get the top hits for displays in your location. Although that can get you started with some of the major fireworks and information, it may not, however, provide the best results for what you're looking for.

For those who are wanting to get more specific — for example, maybe find a fireworks display that includes food or kid-friendly activities — a highly overlooked resource is actually local magazine or parenting websites. The City Moms Blog Network, for instance, is a resource in most major cities that provides a fireworks guide each year. And they're generally not the only ones. Several local magazine and newspaper websites, and even their printed counterparts, will provide some sort of guide or information on all the local fireworks displays happening near you each year.

Additionally, sometimes word of mouth, reaching out in local Facebook groups, or looking through the ads and posted information provided at local stores or shops will often offer up great advice about displays around town. When in doubt, the best method is often to simply ask, or in this case, even call up your local City Hall to find out not only about the displays happening near you, but the specifics and reviews that come with them.

Each year, especially in major cities, there are often changes and new fireworks near you to take advantage of, so even if you think you're familiar with what's happening for the fourth, it could be beneficial to do a little research to see what's new. And if you're feeling adventurous, it may even be worth traveling to see some of the best fireworks displays in the country and really celebrate with a bang this year.
