Fans of the Duggars were totally psyched when Jill announced her engagement to Derrick Dillard in 2014, making her the first Duggar daughter to get married. These days, Jill is a soon-to-be mom of two (she's set to give birth to her second son in July), but the interest in her private family life seems to be as strong as ever. The good news for anyone wanting to follow along with Jill and Derrick's growing family? They are happy to share regular updates on social media. Jill Duggar's Instagram features a ton of family photos, sweet posts about her marriage, and a lot related to her Christian faith. And just like her sister, Jessa, who is herself a mom of two boys, Jill hasn't shied away from sharing details about her pregnancy with her followers.
Not long after their 2014 wedding, Jill and Derrick announced they were expecting their first child — a boy named Israel, who was born in April 2015 according to People. In December 2016, the couple announced that they were expecting again, and gushed to the magazine about how excited they were to be adding to their brood:
Children really are a wonderful blessing from God. Having Israel has been such a delight to us that we know a second sweet baby will only continue to add joy to our family. We are thankful to God for this sweet child and we cannot wait to see her or him face to face!
Jill may have her hands full as a pregnant mom to a busy toddler, but there are a few things that seem clear from her Instagram account:
Israel Is The Star Of Her Feed
If you're a mom who posts on social media, chances are you find it at least somewhat hard to hold back from sharing your child's cuteness with the world. Unsurprisingly, Jill is more than happy to make her son, Israel, the focus of most of her posts, and that's great news for fans who love getting a glimpse of Jill's life as a mom.
These days, 2-year-old Israel seems to be getting into everything — going "grocery shopping" at a children's museum, having his very own "big boy" meal at a restaurant, and even walking around in his dad's cowboy boots. And it's so sweet to watch her little boy grow up.
They're All About Family Time
The arrival of their second child might make family outings a bit trickier, but these days, Jill, Derrick, and Israel seem to have a lot of fun together. Jill often shares photos taken at local events in the community, while visiting with family or friends, or during date nights with her hubby:
But the trio also hasn't shied away from traveling: according to The Daily Mail, the couple recently wrapped up a mission trip in Central America. In a recent post, Jill wrote, that she was "so grateful to be back in the States and get to go to our church this morning."
Her Siblings Often Get Shout-Outs
As one of 19 Duggar children, Jill still seems very close to her siblings, and often mentions them on social media. And the bond that she shares with her brothers and sisters might be one major reason why she told ABC News not long before her wedding that she and Derrick hoped to have a big family one day themselves as well. Jill said,
Both of us want as many kids as God will give us and we've talked about adoption. My parents have kept popping them out so we'll see how [our] fertility is!
Her Pregnancy Posts Are On Point
Jill may not be as prolific a poster during her pregnancy as her sister Jessa was, but she has still made sure to share some updates with her followers. Back in December, Jill shared some tips about dealing with morning sickness (she's all about the salt and vinegar chips), and in a too-cute snap in January, the mom-to-be shared a photo "comparing bellies" with Israel after his dinner.
These days, there seems to be an awful lot going on with the adult Duggar kids — Jill and Jessa have both become mothers in recent years, Jinger and Joy are both married, and Joseph is engaged. It's definitely a far cry from when they started as kids on reality TV years ago, but the public clearly remains interested in their lives. As a busy mom, Jill might not post on social media as often as her fans would like, but they're still more than happy to follow along when she does.
