Lauren Conrad's Baby Boy Has A Sweet & Simple Name

On Wednesday, fashion designer Lauren Conrad announced that she had welcomed her first child with husband William Tell. But before nostalgic fans of Conrad from her reality TV days get psyched for the beginning of another generation of Laguna Beach and The Hills stars, they should at least stop to learn what Lauren Conrad decided to name her son. And Conrad opted to reveal the name on the same day the little boy was born. "We are thrilled to share that we welcomed our son Liam James Tell into our family," she and Tell told People magazine. "Mom, Dad and baby are doing well. We’re already in love!"

Conrad first shared with the public that she and Tell, a lawyer, were expecting on New Year's Day with an excited Instagram post of the sonogram. Six months later, another Instagram post confirmed — again — that the big day of Liam's official entrance into the world had arrived. "He's here!" Conrad, who debuted her LC Lauren Conrad Maternity collection at Kohl's last month, wrote alongside a stitching of the entire tell family, including their two dogs. "We're so excited to welcome Liam James Tell into the world!"

With all this Instagram activity, all that's missing is an actual photo of the baby himself. But something tells me he'll make his public debut (at least online) sometime very soon.

That is, as long as Conrad feels that sharing actual images of her son on social media is the right choice for her family. On one hand, she's a household name (at least in millennials' apartments) and very excited to be a new mom; On the other hand, there's always the instinct to maintain some sense of privacy. Conrad recently mused about how she'd handle this decision in an interview with Fit Pregnancy:

I'm going to have to figure out how much of motherhood to share on social media. Obviously you want to protect your child in every way you can. At the same time, my brand is based on being accessible and sharing the milestones of my life, and I’m so excited about it all. I'll find a middle ground.

Anyone who loved LC on MTV's Laguna Beach and then The Hills is certainly hoping that she errs on the side of "share" in this case. After all, a new cast of reality stars could in the in works: Both Whitney Port and Heidi Montag, two other onetime stars on The Hills, are also pregnant, according to E! News. And Taylor Cole Simshauser and Talan Torriero of Laguna Beach fame are about to become parents, too. Just wait until all these kids get together as teenagers.

So, yeah, millennials who grew up hooked to those shows are going to want to know little Liam's name. LC just gave birth to LT, after all.
