What Does JoJo’s Ex Chad Think Of 'The Bachelorette'? It's Hard For Him

by Megan Walsh

More than one Chad has been causing trouble on this season of The Bachelorette. Not only is there Contestant Chad, who has eaten the other guys out of house and home while threatening to throw down every thirty seconds, but there's JoJo's ex-boyfriend, who has managed to stir drama without ever actually showing his face. An interview with him in In Touch sent all the guys into a major tizzy and forced JoJo to squeeze out some pained tears. But what does JoJo's ex Chad think of The Bachelorette?

JoJo's ex, Chad Rookstool, has been causing issues for her going back to her time on The Bachelor. Though she broke up with him before going on the show, he left her roses and a letter when she was back in Texas for her hometown date with Ben Higgins. Then he decided to talk up their relationship to In Touch, seemingly with the intention of proving just how fake JoJo's time on both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette was.

It looks like JoJo's relationship with Chad was a tough one that has caused her no shortage of heartache. Just when it looks like she's finally moved on, he does something to pull her attention back to him. Though how he thought he could win JoJo back with the less than charming things he had to say to In Touch is anyone's guess; maybe all he wanted to do was create conflict.

In the interview, Chad The Ex claimed that his relationship with JoJo started up again as soon as she returned from filming The Bachelor. He certainly comes off as the wounded party in his own account of events: according to his story, JoJo loved him and wanted to be with him while using The Bachelorette to "branch out her career." His side of things even has her completely dismissing her feelings for Ben: "JoJo told me, 'Chad, come on, you know it was TV.' I think she just got sucked up in the show rather than actually trying to have legit feelings."

As for his feelings about The Bachelorette, Chad said, "It's hard for me to picture her as The Bachelorette and finding someone else, because she's a big part of my life and my best friend, but I'm not going to wait for her." That's cool, Chad – it doesn't seem like she's interested in you waiting, either.

JoJo denies Chad's take on things, calling them "completely false." She was obviously very upset when the article came up on the show because she and Chad had a difficult relationship, and he's proven in the past that he can't let things go. "I did spend time with him, but it was never with any intention of rekindling a romantic relationship," JoJo wrote in an article for People. "When I left for The Bachelorette, I thought we were in a good place. I thought we were back to being just friends. But seeing that article, reading that he questioned my intentions for doing this, it just hurt me so much."

It doesn't look like JoJo does too well with Chads, so perhaps she'd do well to put any guy with that name on her veto list.
