Pamela Valentine

Pamela Valentine shares the joys and challenges of raising a transgender child on her blog, Affirmed Mom, hosted by ChicagoNow. She was awarded a BlogHer 2016 Voices of the Year Award and second place for Excellence in Blogging from the National Gay and Lesbian Journalists Association. Her essays have been featured on the Internet, on Scary Mommy, Cosmopolitan and Brain, Child Magazine, as well as in print in two anthologies: So Glad They Told Me and Here in the Middle.
