Jessa Duggar's Blog Celebrates Faith & Family

Sharing her family life with the world is nothing new for Jessa Duggar, who grew up before the camera on TLC's reality show 19 Kids & Counting. Now, the 24-year-old has started a family of her own and obviously hasn't lost the inclination to celebrate her faith and the people she loves most in a public way. Fans of Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, are surely following their adventures as parents — and as Christians — on the spinoff series in which they star, Counting On. And those addicted to their kids' cuteness are certainly going to want to know how to read Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald's blog, as well.

Having married in 2014, the young couple are already parents to two boys, 16-month-old Spurgeon and newborn Henry Wilberforce, whom the family welcomed Feb 6. And while Duggar and Seewald, 21, offered their enthusiastic viewers an early glimpse of their new baby just days later on TLC's YouTube channel — and Duggar's Twitter page is a reliable source of baby photos and videos — their blog offers a unique insight into who they are and what they value as a family. From interviews with prominent evangelicals to musings about the role of Jesus in the media to reflections on the importance of family, the blog's content shows that faith and familial relationships inform the the couple's worldview.

Anyone who spends half a second reading through the Seewalds' blog will see that it emphasizes their relationship with their faith more than anything else. In a post wishing readers a merry Christmas, for example, the family reminds followers that "when we humble ourselves and accept him as our Lord and Savior, we are born again into his glorious kingdom." A birthday tribute from Ben to Jessa credits God for both her her existence and the pair's union.

The blog showcases family moments, too. A family walk is a great way to "enjoy each other’s company, appreciate God’s creation or talk about the day," Seewald wrote in October of a little jaunt the family took before their younger son was born. The couple also frequently uses the platform to give shoutouts to Duggar's many family members on milestones like birthdays and marriages. There's no shortage of photos of Spurgeon showing his growth and activities either (like playing the piano!).

As the family continues to grow — and, because they plan to adopt in the future, it certainly will — their blog will only become a more robust online space to document their journey. And if what they write and the photos and videos they post there are any indication, they will always have their faith and one another to guide them through it.
