Raven Has Found Someone Special On 'Big Brother 19'

by Chrissy Bobic

If you ask former Big Brother houseguests whether or not showmances worked for them in the end, you'd probably get mixed reviews. This season, among some other houseguests, Raven and Matt seemed to get together pretty quickly, so is Raven from Big Brother 19 single? The houseguest entered into a showmance relatively quickly, but it can go either way with these things.

On the one hand, a couple like Nicole Franzel and Hayden Voss lasted for their entire time on Big Brother 16, but Zakiyah and Paulie from BB18 were already having showmance issues when they were sequestered in the jury house toward the end of the season. As far as our current showmances go, it would appear that everyone was legitimately single going into the house, including Raven, who's been cozying up to Matt more and more. In fact, in her interview before going into the Big Brother house, Raven told Jeff Schroeder that she's "Single as a Pringle and ready to mingle." And even though that apparently wasn’t her goal, Raven got sucked into a showmance before the first real elimination ceremony even happened. "I’m not gonna say I'm looking for it," she told Schroeder. "But I’m definitely open. So I’m not gonna say no, I'm not gonna say yes."

Apparently when it came to Matt, the silver fox who's definitely hard to resist, Raven said a firm yes.

But just because Raven was single going into BB19, it doesn't mean she didn't already have some strong opinions on relationships in general. In an Instagram post back in November, two of her conditions for getting into a relationship with someone were for the guy to know that she's "not looking for any hookups or anything of that nature so if you are then move along fellow" and that she had no intention of having a boyfriend just "because it is 'cool' or 'in style'."

I don't know if there's a specific reason why Raven was single before BB19, but it may have had something to do with the busy life of a dancer and dance instructor since the 23-year-old dance teacher from Arkansas noted on her BB19 bio that one of the things she'd have to adjust to going into the Big Brother house would be no calls from dance moms.

But since she admitted herself that she's totally single, it only made sense for Raven to welcome a showmance with Matt, who by the looks of it seems legitimately smitten with her so far. Of course, it's still early in the game and things could change dramatically, but as of right now, showmances are running the Big Brother house, so it's probably best to stick to their budding relationship.
