Let’s talk about Bruno... and all of the other magical characters of Disney’s Encanto. Set by the music of Lin Manuel-Miranda, the story follows the Madrigals, a Colombian family led by their matriarch Abuela Alma. But who voices this dynamic bunch? Let’s have a look!
Stephanie Beatriz voices Mirabel Madrigal, the main character of the movie. Fun fact, Beatriz recorded “Waiting On A Miracle” while in labor with her daughter!
John Leguizamo voices the infamous Bruno, whose miracle allows him to see into the future. Afraid of what he was revealed, Bruno exiles himself from his family — within the walls of their house.
Diane Guerrero voices Mirabel’s older sister, Isabela, who has a floral type of miracle and is considered the most beautiful and perfect Madrigal. She and Mirabel have a love-hate relationship that’s eventually mended.
Jessica Darrow voices Mirabel’s second older sister, Luisa, who has the miracle of super strength. Like Isabel, she makes it a point to stay on their abuela’s good side but when the pressure to be the strongest is too much, she starts to lose her strength.
Wilmer Valderrama voices Mirabel’s dad, Agustín. He is the accident-prone and loving husband of Julieta. Valderrama spent time as a child in Colombia; the actor’s mother is Colombian and his father is Venezuelan.
Carolina Gaitán voices Mirabel’s quirky aunt, whose mood changes with the weather — literally. Gaitán is the voice behind “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and Encanto was her first animated feature.
