Kinsey Gidick
Kinsey Gidick is a lifestyle contributor at Romper, where she writes about parenting, pregnancy, sex, and shopping. Before joining Bustle Digital Group, she was Editor in Chief of Charleston City Paper, Charleston, South Carolina's only alternative weekly where she managed the newsroom and the paper's culinary beat. Prior to that she was the Assistant Editor at Charleston magazine, the official city magazine for Charleston and guide for Charleston, South Carolina, since 1975. She's been published in the Washington Post, Roads & Kingdoms, Garden & Gun magazine, and the New York Times. In 2019 she took home third place at the Association of Food Journalists Awards for her story “Your Guide to Charleston’s Best Barbecue” published on Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown website. Kinsey earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Communication: Media Studies from The College of Charleston. She lives in rural Central Virginia with her history teacher husband and 6-year-old son, and enjoys recipe testing and traveling in her spare time.
